OUR STORY
The Building IDEAS Group started as a building data analytics research group at the Center for Building Performance and Diagnostics at Carnegie Mellon University School of Architecture. With the develpment of BuildFIT, BIG was formed to bring the technologies to the market.
OUR VISION
Big data analytics has been of growing interest to the building industry, especially with the introduction of disclosure/energy benchmarking laws and the need for medium and large building owners and operators to reduce their portfolio’s energy consumption. BuildFIT provides an integrated real-time data collection, monitoring and analytics approach to recommend retrofits and operational improvements.
OUR TECHNOLOGY
We work closely with our sustainability conscious partners to provide them with actionable information through big data analytics, years of building industry energy research, and artificial intelligence algorithms. Our BuildFIT application allows building portfolio owners, CFOs, operators and building users to save energy and time, quickly making smarter operational and capital energy system decisions.
